![]() This game is very old, and not a lot of people know or understand this game. Kickstarter? Indiegogo? Do we need a new team of fans to take care of Worms 2 in order to have a new game and what happened with WWP? We keep coming back to the classics because our current games are not satisfying us like how it did in the past.ĭo we need to spread this thread to more places for people to talk about it more? Perhaps a petition shoud be created somewhere. Even if we know the game may never get a remake / re-release / remastered / or huge graphical updates, we still gather here to show our love. This type of thread is here to show our optimism for games that were excellent in their time. Place "Remastered" on W:A, and people will start demanding 4.0-scale updates. This is why Worms Armageddon has got highly positive reviews. It wouldn't be if they simply don't call it "Remastered", but just re-release it silently, like they did on GOG. The overall PR response of W2 on Steam would be negative unless they did a really good job, which I doubt. I want Team 17 to start earning money instead of making money. I hate to be such a ♥♥♥♥♥♥♥♥ fanboy but there it is.Įscrito originalmente por Obn3g0n:People will have unrealistic expectations if it's put on Steam, and then be disappointed. All of the Worms 2 weapons, booby trapped crates, and other features (and lots more) have been recreated with PX. That includes custom weapons, custom game logic, maps with active components and partial indestructibility, etc. You can achieve limitless customization using ProjectX, way way more than W2 ever had. You can emulate W2 roping using Rubberworm in WA. ![]() Those things would be sorely missed in modern W2. The last thing we need is another half broken worms game lacking online players and without basic necessities such as color maps and replays. Worms 2 offers no advantages anymore, except maybe nostalgia. It now has way more features and players than all other worms games put together. WA has received updates for the last 15 years. And it would further fragment the community. But if released now on Steam, it would have tons of issues, be poorly optimized, and have very few players online. W2 was a great game back in its day, and so was WWP. It's stupid threads like this one that got WWP released on Steam, which everyone knows was a huge failure. Here's a question for the discussion: What is your favorite W2 Weapon/Utility? With cheats on. Speaking of weapons, Super Banana Bomb, Rocket Luancher, and Ninja Rope were some of my favorite items to use in W2 Cluster Bombs were a lot better in a random spread, you would have to be extremely lucky to have all clusters hit one worm for a kill. This was a huge thing where you can overkill a worm, doing a total amount of damage of 125-145. Mortars were tweaked in WA where the clusters didnt all go in the opposite direction of impact, which happened in W2. It is what I meant for how WA was released. On the Team17 WormNET server, it is enabled for the #AnythingGoes and #RopersHeaven channels. For WormNET games, the "Pf" setting in the channel scheme. For Direct IP games, by the "Scheme" wa:// URL parameter For offline games, the "Offline rope knocking" tweak in Advanced Options Escrito originalmente por CyberShadow:Rope Knocking is not currently configurable as a scheme option.
